Faezeh Pourhosseini
I am Faezeh Pourhosseini (b. 1994, Ardakan, Yazd, Iran), an M.A. graduate in Islamic Art with a specialization in ceramics. My research-based practice focuses on the contemporary reinterpretation of Seljuk pottery as a structured visual system grounded in geometry, rhythm, and symbolic narration.
Through the displacement and recontextualization of historical elements within minimal contemporary forms, I examine notions of authenticity, representation, and cultural continuity. Clay operates as a conceptual medium connecting collective memory with individual experience
Since 2018, I have established and directed my own specialized ceramics studio, where theoretical research and material experimentation intersect, enabling the continued development of my artistic language.
